'Oppenheimer' y 'Pobres Criaturas' lideraron los premios BAFTA 2024

La edición 77 de los premios BAFTA (en inglés: British Academy of Film and Television Arts) se celebró este domingo 18 de febrero desde el Royal Festival Hall de la ciudad de Londres. Considerados como el equivalente inglés de los Premios Óscar, los BAFTA 2024 premiaron a las producciones y estrellas favoritas de esta temporada de premios. 

Oppenheimer, la aplaudida película de Christopher Nolan, fue la gran ganadora de esta edición. De 13 nominaciones, se llevó 7, incluyendo las categorías de Mejor Director, Mejor Actor Principal (por el papel interpretado por Cillian Murphy) y el codiciado galardón de Mejor Película.

Por otro lado, la controversial cinta de Yorgos Lanthimos, Pobre Criaturas, obtuvo 5 premios, incluidos: el reconocimiento a Emma Stone como Mejor Actriz Principal, Mejor Diseño de Vestuario y Mejor Diseño de Producción.

El escalofriante drama sobre el Holocausto Zona de Interés, del director Jonathan Glazer y la favorita como Mejor Película Internacional en la carrera a los Óscar, se llevó a casa el prestigioso premio a la Película Británica Destacada, así como el de Mejor Película de habla no inglesa. 

La ceremonia también contó con la aparición de algunas leyendas del cine, entre ellos Tom Cruise y Michael J. Fox, y personalidades británicas como el príncipe William. Próximamente estará disponible para ver en BBC iPlayer y BritBox.
